If you’re a fan of long beach strolls, feeling the wind blow through your salty hair, or snorkeling through crystal waters–it’s time to venture beyond the main island of Provo! Climb aboard as we embark on our Sand Dollar Cay tour, designed to expose you to some of our islands’ best-kept secrets. On this 1½ hour-long trip, sit back and cruise along as we guide you down the coast to Fort George Cay, a scenic, uninhabited island hidden between Pine Cay & Dellis Cay. Nicknamed “Sand Dollar Cay” after the exquisite coral sand dollars sprinkled across its sands, this island is definitely one of the Turks and Caicos Islands’ hidden gems. After a speedy check-in process at Blue Haven Marina, you’ll begin by cruising down the marina as you get comfortable on your ‘ski, riding parallel to the coast and curving in and out of Cays at your own pace. As you slide past Dellis Cay, you’ll see the abandoned housing development emerge from the horizon line on the edge of Alston Beach. Coming up, you’ll pull past Pine Cay and into Fort George, where you can strap on that snorkeling gear and jump into the shallow turquoise waters for some underwater exploration! This secluded beach has a lot to offer: if you keep your eyes peeled, you’re sure to find a souvenir or two, with your guide right there to snap a pic with you and your new treasures. Discover coral-encrusted canons lying just beyond the shoreline, left over from the 1700s when Fort George was used to defend against Pirates and Haitian Revolutionaries. Splash around in the sandbars, explore the coastline at your leisure, and take in the tranquil beauty of the secluded stretch of sand. & Don’t forget to watch out for Jojo and Dreamer–two of the TCI’s famously friendly bottlenose dolphins–or any other surprise visits from our underwater friends! When it’s time to pack up and climb back on your Jetski–by now, you’re a pro.
